Historical Magazine
The goal of this project was to create a historical magazine on a person who lived before the 1900s that resembled the time period of which they lived. I was to create a cover, an ad, and an article. The topics of the article examine Marie Antoinette, the clothing she wore, why she wore those particular garments, an analysis of her dress, and the social context of the time that affected her clothing choice.
Research Abstract
This is the research abstract from a paper written in my Applied Research and Evaluation class. The paper was part of a group project where the goal was to research the different ways a retailer’s visual merchandising can affect the success of the store. A survey was conducted with Central Washington University students and then analyzed.
Merchandising Plan
This excel document was part of a buying simulation for my Merchandise Buying & Planning class. The purpose of this assignment was to create a 6 month merchandising plan for the Children's Wear department at Perry's, a store similar to Nordstrom. The numbers in blue are estimated based on research I had conducted about the industry and how the corona virus may affect sales in the coming months. The numbers in green were calculated using various formulas in excel.
